Me: No, its factual, just doesn’t really have any depth. They barely cover the Some People Have To Wait Their Entire Lives Shirt and by the same token and actual meat of the news cause they are too busy chasing dumb shit. This meme really hits home for me. In an actual conversation I had with a Trump supporting friend about 2 years ago I was talking about the quality of his sources of news and information. He asked where I got my news, CNN, MSNBC or FOX, as if those are the only sources of news. When I suggested he read a few newspaper and magazine articles about a specific situation, he said “reading is too much work.” SMH Seriously, since the beginning of the pandemic every Republican I know has accused me of “listening to the liberal media”. They’ve called me an alarmist, a doomsayer, and then when literally everything I said, every prediction was proven correct, denying I knew anything and just trying to “smear” Trump like the liberal media. Oh and of course any time I talk about public health issues “HoW dO yOu KnOw? YoU’rE nOt A dOcToR!” You know where I actually got my information from? My doctoral research was in modeling aerosol respiratory disease transmission. Since the very beginning of the outbreak in Wuhan I have read thousands of research papers on the virus. I don’t get my information from journalists; I’m the one that journalists get their information from – and they usually report it incorrectly. Just one of the things you learn in research is never read the popular press article reporting on research, go straight to the primary source.

Some People Have To Wait Their Entire Lives Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

There’s no magic, no fortune telling, just science and statistics. We had all the Some People Have To Wait Their Entire Lives Shirt and by the same token and information we needed in December 2019 to know exactly what this virus was, what was going to happen, and what we should have done. The Republican Party is becoming the Party of the dumb and I think it is by design. The people in power such as Senators and Governors and what not and their real backers (the billionaires and business class) really benefit by not having a large base that can critically think and rise up against them. I always laugh when I say that Fox News is fucking awful and a conservative dipshit replies with “well CNN is bad too!” Truth is, Fox News is actually a bigger “mainstream media” outlet. It was never an “outsider” or a “plucky upstart.” It was started by mainstream media titans, run by a billionaire family, and is currently (and has been for decades) the number one cable “news” channel. The hosts of the opinion shows, the anchors of the “news” shows, and most of the pundits who appear on the channel are the very same “rich elite” that the viewers rail against.
