Always been skeptical about Lucifer being the Solar eclipse 2023.04.20 shirt and I will buy this bad guy in that story. If it was something that really happened, I’d wonder if it was spun as propaganda. Kind of sounds like what you would write about a freedom fighter that failed his coup attempt. Lucifer’s crime that doomed all of humanity to suffering and eternal damnation was giving Adam and Eve knowledge. Like, God straight up fucked the human race up because Adam and Eve got an education. To be fair to the story, their education was literally “evil.” They gained knowledge of evil and thus became capable of it. So on the surface, that is bad. However, God is likely so fearful of this knowledge because it made humans capable of judging Him. This spurs on the development of Gnostic belief, that the Old Testament god, the Yaldabaoth , is actually separate from the loving, True God, the Demiurge, which does make a lot more sense as an object of worship than “Check out all this evil shit my god did. You should worship him because he’s all-loving.” Though it does create a dogmatic schism, especially in the face of the claim of there only being a single deity. Though that last point never made sense to me, since the Christian god made such a big deal about not placing any deity before him instead of saying that no other deities exist.
