Is it just me or are sk8 hi’s so fucking hard to put on? Yeah I’ve hardly worn mine too. And once I finally manage to get them on my feet slide around inside or they’re too tight. I can never get them feeling right. They’re not bad if you just leave certain eyelets loose , same with blazers. But i do agree with you can’t just take them off quick af, like getting home and having to pee but I need to take my shoes off first before going to the bathroom If they just put a damn loop on the back of the heel like on the MTEs it’d be so much easier. I have a pair of Hi’s as my main skate shoes but I got so frustrated with putting them on that I actually went out and bought a pair of low top skate shoes for when I’m just skating to work or somewhere in the neighbourhood (new balance nm440s which I love for that purpose). I’ll still use the Hi’s when I go to the park for the sake of the ankle support/protection but if I’m just heading to the office or the grocery store I’ll opt for the 440s now.

I get a lot of questions like this. Yes, it’s a real thing. Pros who also teach. When I was looking around for a local skatepark, there was a tab on their website for skateboarding lessons. I’ve been taking lessons for almost a year, and it’s so much better than me learning on my own, or trying to learn from YouTube tutorials. Also, he’s become one of my closest homies. Hope they treat you feet better than mine! I have those exact same shoes just in the tan oatmeal gums, and everytime I skated it murdered my pinky toes like it would rub the sides of them raw til I had a blister. I’m wearing the vans New Skool shoes now. They are a bit puffy but are way easier on my toes and I feel is more limber, like when I’m bending to pop it gives nice, whereas in the hi’s it felt a bit constrained. Everyone’s dif tho happy shredding.
