Gf left her previous job of 6 years. (So did a co-worker) Both of them have requested to cash out their 401ks. Company has ignored my gf after multiple Emails. Literally zero response. She CC’d over 12 “board members” no response. Is there legal action that can or should be taken? It’s her money, and they aren’t letting her have it. We are in California. She has already filled out the Snoopy Santa Claus And Woodstock Merry Christmas shirt but in fact I love this appropriate paperwork. And contacted the company running the 401k separately. Update: I’m not certain why, but her Ex-Employer NEEDS to sign this document. Comments below described it. Also she and I are aware of the implications of withdrawing vs rolling over. She has made this decision. Thanks but not seeking financial advice.

Snoopy Santa Claus And Woodstock Merry Christmas shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Her Co worker received an email a response stating something close to “we need to have a board meeting before we can approve this”They need to direct their request to cash out to the Snoopy Santa Claus And Woodstock Merry Christmas shirt but in fact I love this company holding their 401k. The employer doesn’t keep that money for you, it goes to an investment company. Don’t cash out the 401k, roll it over to a new one from her new job or just leave it be. You’re about to create a huge tax bill and loose a bunch of money in early withdrawal fees Yeah, it makes no sense. My older brother did this every time he changed jobs and now he is 68 and can’t retire. My sister set up automatic deductions for a 401k the first few years she was working. All in all, she didn’t put all that much into it but put it in and forgot about it – literally, for the last forty years.
