I think prices actually went down. Show is far from sold out. I ended up getting what most would consider much better seats for just $10 more per ticket than I paid for the Snoopy and Woodstock just because I am awake doesn’t mean I am ready to do things shirt in other words I will buy this original seats. I’d still prefer the original seats I purchased because I like being straight back from the stage in the first row of the balcony for mid-sized arena shows. This happened in KC too, they closed the 200s due to low sales and made everything cheaper other than pit. Unfortunately for you this is actually a better deal for most, as they are moved to more expensive seats in the 100s for the price of the uppers. Also the venue now has everyone condensed in the lower section instead of the bands playing to a seemingly empty arena. I do understand your situation though, I like to be centered for better sound even if it’s further up, the sound in the lower corners always sucks. Bottom line is they need to be playing smaller more intimate venues if they can’t sell the arenas well.

Yep, you understand. Unless you’ve got the Snoopy and Woodstock just because I am awake doesn’t mean I am ready to do things shirt in other words I will buy this energy for the pit (I don’t; too old) first row, balcony, dead center is the best seat in the house for the money. I was jazzed to have scored them. Two things are possible – the venue changed its seating chart for this event (most venues have multiple setups) or – more likely – TM had the wrong one setup and only realized it at this later date. I had the same thing happen to me. I argued with them and all they offered was either take it or a refund. So I asked for a refund… they only refunded the ticket, not the damn fees. I called their CS, and they pretty much told me there was nothing I could do. CS assured me a full refund including fees. I’m already considering filing a small claims case against them for breach of contract. Trust that I’ll see this through to the full extent of the law if they try to shaft me on the refund.
This could have have been Ticketmaster fault. They might have set up the Snoopy and Woodstock just because I am awake doesn’t mean I am ready to do things shirt in other words I will buy this seats wrong, but more likely the layout of the seating plan has changed due to the production and your seats don’t exist to sit in anymore. The latter happens a lot. Not fair, but it’s down to the artist or promoter, not the ticket company. This exactly, I worked in ticketing for years. Various reasons this may have happened but most likely not on TM, but rather the operators at the venue or the promoter. Because the seats were still there. They still existed. They double booked, but that does not mean you are the one that moves … Tickets are digital. When I show up to the venue the tickets on my phone show me sitting in the new seats TM picked for me. In the moment, I’d lose that argument with whoever they gave my seats to.

The problem is as a consumer you have no recourse when ticketmaster is literally the only option. Even if OP tried persuing this the mediator (all but guaranteed they require mediation instead of court) would just require a refund which ticketmaster already offered. They’re a monopoly and they take full advantage of their status. Perhaps. Except I see some resale seats available in the section in question. Also, if they’re going to move my seats without asking, they could at least make it an upgrade, not shittier seats. lol so even if you buy a seat now, if someone basically outbids you for the seat you already bought, ticketmaster will just move you to crappier seats, and wont give you any credit unless you want a full refund This kind of thing sucks, because we are wanting to go to some concerts that are not only $500+ per ticket but require expensive air travel and hotel bookings. This may not be covered under travel insurance since you’d get there the day off and find this shit out. I just watched U2 (Las Vegas) and thought damn I dunno if I want all this stress and $500 doesn’t get you a great seat for that one either.

Are people actually supposed to stay in their place at such a concert? Uhhh, yeah, they double booked your seat, won’t acknowledge it, and want to breach your contract to screw you. This is like Amazon’s current breach of contract bluff: pretty sure they thought no one would bother taking them to court for 3$, even if it’s blatantly illegal. Oh, I’m petty too. I still might take them to small claims court, except I’m not sure how that would go considering I accepted a refund on the original transaction so I wouldn’t be stuck with the shitty seats they moved me to. I took a screengrab of the prices in the section they moved me to, just in case. Ended up buying better seats (12 rows up from corner of the stage) but also paid more than I originally wanted to. The seats I originally purchased were my perfect price-to-value for mid-sized arena shows: straight back from the stage, center, first row balcony. It’s a good spot for acoustics and the view is great without having to look over anyone else’s head.
I’d file a complaint with your state attorney general’s office of consumer protection personally. Sounds like something they’d be all over. “double-booked” more like “we realized we could charge more for your tickets than what you paid. So we relisted them and sold them at a higher cost to someone else. And we should have told you sooner…but f*ck you, what are you going to do about it?” Show is far from fully booked. Go to concert have a decent time and then do a chargeback on your card since you didn’t get the seats you paid for. What happened to concerts!!! Why is every show like this now? I swear shitty ticket sites and scalpers have ruined live music. As I have seen a lot of snafus with Ticketmaster, I am grateful that I am able to purchase disabled / ada seats at concerts. I’d be extremely Po’ed if they pulled some crap like this on me. They enjoy being sued for their sloppy services. A few years ago I had a situation with them where I was not able to buy my Ada seats from their app and I actually had to go to a local box office ( which was a 1 hr 30 min drive one way ) and have them print off the tickets for me. I complained about it while I was there and now they have a check mark box in their app to purchase ada seats. Hope you can still enjoy the show! I missed them the last time they were in the area. I would have just gone, sat in the new seats, then contacted them afterwards and told them I didn’t know my seats have been reassigned and that I wouldn’t have gone if those seats were the only option, and demand a full refund.

Another possible explanation… it wasn’t Ticketmaster who initiated the change. Artists/their management have control over seating changes, too. If your orig seats are in a section that’s now being closed, that call would not have been initiated by TM. At least you were notified somewhat ahead of time. I never received an email or text. I didn’t find out until I was trying to locate my seats. The entire section was blocked off and I was given not so great seats. I was pissed!

What I want to know is why this had to go to court. Did the clinic literally refuse to start the process over for them for free or tried to avoid any liability and said tough luck cough up more money? We went through IVF. I couldn’t imagine the heartache if what is happening in Alabama occured during our treatment. Welll with the myriad of new birth control laws, people will start adopting and heading to foster kids who need a home. These are elected officials, the last question that has to be asked when someone complains about the government has to be “when was the last time you voted?” At most, this should have appeared in the courts as a negligence case against the facility. How did the patient bypass the facilities security measures, why there aren’t any—if they are up to industry standard, things like that, and receive financial compensation for that. But to say that they are children just solidifies what we have all been shouting from the rooftops—that this isn’t a moral issue, it is about controlling women’s bodies! The government should not have that power, and it is terribly unfortunate that it took this for the women of Alabama to understand that!
