I think it’s because old people don’t shower everyday and sometimes wear the same clothes for several days. A lot of them don’t have anything to do or anywhere to go so they don’t bother. Bascially it is from a life-time of eating garbage that finally ferments on a metabolic and celluar level internally using your body as the “pickle jar” so to speak. Fatty liver disease will be found as well, as all the processed sugar, carbs (that turn right into sugar), HFCS (high fructose corn syrup), and of course human’s undying love affair with alcohol, all these (and other crap eaten) will slowly-but-surely compromise your liver’s ability to regulate your metabolic system (no, your liver is not merely a “blood filter”, it’s your metabolic system’s “traffic cop” so to speak, regulating and directing your whole metabolic system) and you then begin to stank like all the garbage that has accumulated AS your body now. Not to mention mounting illness due to inflammation run amok within the body. First common signs of this will be joints and back pain, than your organs will become inflamed as well, including your largest organ, your epidermis aka your skin aka you integumentary system, your “outside”, which includes the epidermis, dermis, hypodermis, associated glands, hair, and nails. To start, dermatitis and eczema will begin. Then age spots (lentigo), shingles, psoriasis, etc. Then all manner of body cascade failure, including your compromised liver now sending calcium to your veins and arteries as opposed to the bones where it belongs. This will then result in your veins and arteries literally gradually turning into bone, and thus causing high blood pressure (HBP or hypertension) as a result of your vascular system no longer being able to fluctuate to modulate pressure inside your veins and arteries due to them losing all their natural elasticity.

Old people always carry white peppermints in their pockets. That, along with nonenal, is what you smell. Only a few old people carry the better smelling pink ones.
