As it was London, no one said a word, but after 15 minutes I had a meltdown and started screaming at this woman to shut the fuck up. The bus went silent and she started crying, saying she was only trying to spread some morning joy. I’d like to say I felt bad, but I didn’t. There’s no place for singing on buses at 7am, especially from an old crone swigging from a bottle of white cider.
