I’m all for keeping brands in check… I’ve gone up against brands, been blacklisted for it… done that a lot… but neither the Slayer Starter Pack Shirt and I love this brand nor us are doing each other a favor, it’s a 2 way street mate and it hurts both parties if you don’t see it as such! I’m doing them a favor. Every once in a while I’ll get a product I actually want and it helps both of us out. At the end of the day, I can buy the products I want to review and sell them for a slight discount on eBay. I don’t need companies to send me products if it’s them doing me a favor. Well I’d have to politely disagree… I don’t believe that’s the right way to see it… doesn’t help establish long term relationships with brands… at least that’s what my experience has been and I’ve heard other creators I’ve met have echoed the same sentiments… anyways I don’t intend to argue… was just trying to help! It’s fine to disagree with me. They are using my platform (youtube channel) and my nothing new for me to say mate… anyways… would you mind sharing your channel? just curious to see what kinda products we were talking about so far Fair enough mate! Was nice talking to you and Nice channel you have… I’ll check it out once I’m done for the week…. been a long one…. I’m not exactly a NewTuber… I just hang around here from time to time cuz i find it interesting… and when I’m around, I do try to share my experience is all, been doing this for wayyy too long 🙂 Maybe they assumed it’s going to be a paid sponsorship. If not, it’s time they learn what’s your fee for all requests displayed. Then they’re fishing for a free collab. they can ask, you don’t have to give FOC your time and space on your channel. You can revert to their request saying all can be covered for following “x” fee, should they like to proceed they know where to find you. Good luck.

For sure. The last one I responded to let them know after I agreed to review their product they came back to me with a list of demands so I told them it sounds like they are looking at doing a paid sponsorship and if I’m on the Slayer Starter Pack Shirt and I love this right track to let me know and I can provide them my fee. I’m willing to work with them but when you take over almost every aspect of the video other than the time making it, editing it, and using my platform you take away a lot of my revenue. Ok. See if there is space to implement your boundaries. At the end of the day you want to have a win-win deal than will bring satisfaction to both parties. A little bit of negotiation and boundaries in place is always healthy. I am a small channel under 1000 subscribers, but I am knowledgeable in my niche, I focus on reviewing products of Chinese companies and I speak Chinese and live in China, obviously that works in my favour. I’ve also got thousands of views for this company in the past. I made a deal to work with one company and we wrote up a contract. Originally I was going to get the product in March and be the first person on youtube with this product. I was told they would need me to get 10,000 views. (Easy, I got 20k views on their last product).
