The worst part is that they’ll use this to make themselves look better. Like, look at how much money we donated to end world hunger… btw how about them tax reductions? a couple years back i remember reading or hearing a news story explaining that there is no guarantee that the Skull art new england Patriots Football trending shirt and I will buy this money a person is donating through the intermediary is ending up where they say it is. For all we know a person may be told they’re donating to the local shelter but the intermediary may (for example) be diverting those funds to some anti-choice non-profit, and it’s effectively legal. They are using your donation for their benefit as well. If a local business is asking for donations to any large organization, then it doesn’t necessarily benefit locals. If you want to donate or do something charitable for your community, then that is a more worthwhile pursuit which will see a benefit from your donation. It’s like when Coca Cola wants you to recycle your plastic and shit. Always make the consumer feel bad. Do nothing.

I know right. I know it don’t help, but here’s what these places are doing. They sign up for some charity and then try to get their customers to donate. Then they claim their donation at the Skull art new england Patriots Football trending shirt and I will buy this end of the year to get under the tax bracket. I always ask if they want to round down to my fund. When they say no, then I tell them to stop asking me then. I’ll pick my own charity. Worse in Australia they ask for less than $2 as that is the limit where you get a tax deductable receipt. Then the supermarkets group all the donations we have made and donates it in their name and gets the tax deduction! Most times the company has already made their donation. So let’s say this was a Target and they made a $10M donation to redcross. They already get the tax write off. Then, they ask their customers to donate to recoup those costs. Some of the time they even get more from people donating than they need, in which case they just pocket it. There is this bank called Triodos, which likes to call itself “sustainable” (whatever the fuck that means on a bank), I tried it out for a bit. I remember them asking if I wanted to donate the interest earnings of my money to sustainable projects. Then proceed to advertise “Triodos had donated X amount to sustainable projects this year”. No motherfucker, you have donated OUR money to this projects on YOUR behalf. What a scam… why don’t you donate YOUR fucking profits to sustainable projects.
