This is a lie. Reuters reported that surgeries, including genital surgeries, are being done on minors age 13-17 according to an analysis of insurance claims. No. Outside of a small percentage of shady doctors or outside US, it’s against medical law to do sex change on people under 18. Hormone blockers are not hormone replacement. One is delaying puberty, the Six things i do in my spare time dice board game computer dream T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this other is changing physicality No. Doctor will know do any surgery until after they turn 18 I don’t even think they’ll do it with parents permission. They do hormone therapy but only after extensive regular therapy even as an adult. The right is spreading hate and misinformation because that’s what they do. My best friend is trans and for her to transition as a 35 year old adult was a process that took years. It’s not something that done in a snap like the right would like you to believe. It’s not happening on the scale right wingers would have you believe. And when it does, it’s because it’s medically necessary and other methods have failed. Trans people already make up a tiny portion of the population. Even fewer of that population is below 18, and even fewer of those get surgery. It’s just another talking point to smear LGBT.

FYI that’s the Six things i do in my spare time dice board game computer dream T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this Republican driven culture war pushing that in the news, full of propaganda and lies. “Transgender” as a catchall term which encompasses asexual and other non-traditional gender conforming people as well as the few hundred people in this nation of 330 million who actually seek out medical assistance to change their sex. No child is getting their sex changed. The only surgery anyone under 18 is getting are breast reductions, which cis girls have already been able to get at that age forever Gynecomastia in boys (and adult men) is also treated with reductions, and sometimes Bilateral mastectomy, which is the same procedure that a trans man may have. Again, this procedure is agreed upon by the person themselves, thier team of doctors, and with parental involvement in the case of it being an boy under 18. Just adding to your point, because forms of these procedures exist for both AFAB and AMAB people, for similar reasons, and these are often left out of discussions. Trans kids dont have access to genital surgeries. Hormone blockers are a thing but its more so something that gives the kid time to figure out their identity. Its just as safe as exploring clothing styles.
