Shout out to the Silence conceals violence domestic violence awareness rainbow T-Shirt moreover I will buy this amazing woman, Nancy Marrero, who comforted her and stayed with her while help arrived. Such a disgusting event but I’m glad a stranger was able to show her kindness. I was hit by a car many years ago. Broke my arm, landed on my head. I was sitting, dazed, on the side of the road for ages waiting for a friend to come get me. It took me a while to notice, but eventually I noticed a man was sitting on the kerb a few metres away from me, just keeping an eye on me to make sure I was ok, until the ambulance that – I’m guessing – he had called, turned up. It was over 10 years ago, and I never even spoke to him (I was in shock and hurting, obvs) but I still think about him every so often. I wish I could thank him, it was such a kind thing to do. I had some good samaritans that made sure after I rear end I was layed the F down and waited for the ambulance they called. They also got the plate of the driver who it me AND drove off.

I got to pay it forward about 5 years ago. I gave testimony and helped a woman who was had her hip shattered and couldn’t communicate with officers on scene. I still remember having both insurance companies and police call me for recorded testimonies. Luckily I didn’t have to show up in court; but I would have! My kid and I got tboned when someone ran a red light, the Silence conceals violence domestic violence awareness rainbow T-Shirt moreover I will buy this airbags went off and we were both a bit stunned, but ok. A man from a nearby restaurant was going to his car, heard the crash, came to my passenger door and helped us get out. He grabbed a water from my car and made sure I called someone before he left. He cared more about us than the couple that hit us did. Very much. We were so touched by the people who stopped when a drunk pulled out in front of us and totaled our vehicle. About the time the airbags went down, which is REALLY fast, we had people at both doors asking if we were ok. Thankfully we were, but were still assessing when they asked. They also went on record for the police report for what they saw, which we didn’t know until later. Once I climbed out the lady on my side saw me staring at my shaking hands and said “It’s ok, it’s just the shock, it will wear off in a few minutes. Did the air bag get you?”. I was just pissed off my hands weren’t behaving lol. I’m usually the calm one.
