I almost never step out of my campus in daylight, today I did to shop for groceries. A tshirt and denim. Normal (not) stares that I’m used to. A zomato guy literally turned back while driving to check me out. Most scariest of all, I took a relatively quite street back home and 3 laborers talked about me while I approached their way, made weird gestures, clapped and then as I was crossing, checked me out from back as well. I felt so violated. I shushed them down by staring back but I was so scared inside. What if they would have dragged me. The market was just 10 steps away but will anyone ever help me? Stares I’m used to in the gym but the way certain people do it feels I’m being raped by their eyes. I feel violated. I’ve never faced anything soo frequent back in delhi. I wore what I wanted. Yes I did get stared at but never got cat called so frequently. No one in the gym had audacity to do all such things back in delhi.
