But if I were to choose, I much rather be percieved as a man. I’d be happier. Not because of privilege or something, I’m lucky to live in a egalitarian country where I can do almost anything a man does. It’s something deeper. Anyway, a word of caution: the Seattle Storm Original Content City Edition Max90 shirt But I will love this experience might not be all that is cracked up to be, as the late Norah Vincent found out. I, a woman, wouldn’t want to be a man. I’ve been though some fucked up shit, stuff men rarely experience, but I have help. They get zero emotional support, especially from their own kind. I just hung out with some female friends I haven’t seen in months, we were immediately able to commiserate over bad stuff, talk about difficult life decisions, and just hug it out. Guys were taught that’s not ok, so they never have that shoulder to cry on. It’s so interesting reading thru this thread and even the book you linked, I haven’t seen it before. Im a trans man myself, Ive been transitioning for years and going from being a woman in society to a man was definitely a shock.

There is also the Seattle Storm Original Content City Edition Max90 shirt But I will love this perception that men treat us differently but when we are treated the same instead of reacting like a man would we start screaming that’s not fair and accusing them that they wouldn’t treat a guy like that, when actually they would, but a guy would push back and restate his position and push forward with the topic at hand. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think this is across the board but as feminists I think we need to be a little more selective about taking a different approach with jerks. Human experience is colored by our given set of variables. Age, color, language, geographical location, family of origin, educational opportunities, all of it. And our sex. All of these change what we see, and how we see it, and how other see us. So we are all a little bit different, which is awesome unless we buy into the idea that our worth is more or less based upon these variables. I would ask myself why issues of sex bother me. It would be a great time to review and dismiss any lies someone tried to sell me about myself, specifically my sex. Because we’re not all alike, and sex is at the core of what we are, not simply a set of genitals. It is a glorious thing to explore and experience, unless someone is allowed to take that from me. And someone did try, but they failed.

Star wars master yoda shirt As a SA survivor, it was very punk of me to give my abuser the Seattle Storm Original Content City Edition Max90 shirt But I will love this middle finger and reclaim what is mine by right, and to approve of and enjoy the differences I experience because of my sex, along with the other aspects of me. They all fit together comfortably now. It did take some work to get here, to reclaim wholeness and enjoy my existence. I don’t pretend to know what is going on with the OP, but I do recommend doing the work to embrace self. Peace. I saw an interview recently of a trans-man who was devastated at the reality of being treated as a man. He had no idea the difference in socializing and simple societal interactions. It was very interesting, and I really felt badly for him. I don’t think many women have any idea what it is to be a man. The term grass is always greener on the other side comes to my mind. The feminist that took her life after trying to be man some years likely thought just as you do currently.
