Also you’d have to be a lil naive to think either a 1/6 bomb or partial student loan forgiveness won’t be here by November. Between the Seattle Kraken 2021 sport Shirt in other words I will buy this electoral college, senate makeup, and republicans refusing to confirm democratic nominees, we have a federal government that is vastly more conservative than the American public in general. So when something like this happens, they can see through their bubble for just a moment and realize it before they hide again. I don’t think the republican party (I’m saying party on purpose as obviously a lot of the members of that party definitely wanted this) ever wanted this to happen. They’ve been using this issue to whip their base into a frenzy for decades. It’s kept them in office and kept their campaign coffers filled. Do you honestly think mitchiepoo, et al care is women abort pregnancies? Or is it more likely they used that issue as a vehicle to cut taxes for their friends, deregulate for their friends and prop up big oil? Overturning Roe has been a thing to rile up their evangelical base, but polls consistently show that roughly 2/3 of the country does not want Roe completely overturned (as Alito’s draft opinion would do) so of course they are trying to run away from the topic.

Republicans have done this for years. It’s not that weird anymore. They vote against legislation like the Seattle Kraken 2021 sport Shirt in other words I will buy this stimulus and then tell their voters that they were part of the Congress that passed it. They think their constituents are too dumb to understand what actually happened. Remember when HER EMAILS happened and all the republicans were super mad about the leak and swore to get to the bottom of it? Fuck these fucking fuckers. The abortion debate will eliminate any mention of CRT or trans issues. Republicans lost their r/onejoke for the 2022 midterms Abortion in regards to GOP politics is like a dog chasing a car: It has no idea what to do with it once it catches it. Abortion has been equally, if not more, a political cudgel than a deep conviction for GOP political strategists. For decades it has been utilized as this issue that overwhelmingly captures and energizes the evangelical base. It has always been wildly unpopular, but as long as Roe remained law, Republican voters could get riled up about “baby murder” while Democrats were content with the reality. You could see the unease beginning when the 15-week bans started passing. Hardly a mouse peep could be heard from GOP leadership. Now that it’s over, the political cudgel is gone, and they are left with something that no more than 30% of Americans have ever supported. And the tables have turned and the majority of Americans are now energized. It’s going to be some really depraved shit we’re going to see in the 6 months leading up to midterms how the GOP tries to counter this.
