I volunteer in a mentoring program with kindergartners. I’ve been doing this for a few years, so imaginative stories aren’t that unusual coming from 5-6 year olds. Disturbing: Reading a book about a squirrel, different kid says his dad shoots squirrels. Sometimes, he puts out nuts so they get close. There’s lots of blood and guts.
