Yes indeed! Saw this at IBM all the Scream Horror Shirt moreover I love this time. They brought in green cards from India because they could pay them peanuts. They brought their families with them so immediate housing, foodstamps, medical, cash assistance and if mom and pop came along social security too. I am dealing with an Assisted living Facility that is currently paying an agency much more per hour than just paying employees a fair wage. That is resulting in high turnover and poor quality care. It’s especially hard on the most fragile people and is dangerous. Maybe that is another reason to support UBI. SNAP benefits actually return more and boost the economy. I don’t know enough about it, but it sure seems like it would be something to look at.

So without getting into politics (which will be hard) what needs to happen in all industries that are labor driven, there needs to be structured and organized labor that pays all labor burden costs accordingly as well as offers healthcare benefits, vacation and retirement incentives. Companies that do this as well as companies that do not, today compete against each other in almost a balanced competitive atmosphere. The difference is that companies that do not have an organized and structure pay scale to operate from and typically underpay as well as fail to offer any or most of the Scream Horror Shirt moreover I love this indicated incentives, will win contracts by “slightly” lowering labor costs. In comparison to both these structured and non-structured companies, ownership/management of the non-structured companies make significantly more profits based on a “Cost of an Hour of Labor” that is significantly less! Businesses that pay a fair wage, provide insurance benefits and offer vacation and retirement incentives “across the board” can be competitive and most of the time offer a much better product with a much higher level of accountability. I said I was not going to get into politics but I lied, which party do you think supports fair labor and which party do you think supports businesses that suck the life out of their employees and the money out of their customers. None of these companies support paying tax’s on profits and such so to answer this for you. Republican driven businesses mindsets (which is almost all business ownership) do not support fair labor. So if you have organize labor (which is typically a Democratic driven support system) you stand a better chance of seeing fair wages across the board. With this being said, I don’t care who you are in business, if you are not accountable for yourself and offer consistent performance driven with high morales and ethics then you do not deserve to be paid more than those who have these attributes. To many out their believe they are owed something and in retrospect, have no idea what it means to put in a hard day/week/month/year of work! I am proud of the Starbucks employees across the nation that are organizing for a better opportunity for themselves and their futures. We continue to support all entertainment figures who make absurd amounts of moneys for what? Are you telling me these same people work any harder than labor driven industry employees that are accountable? Anyone who believes this is moronic in their thinking! Good Luck with these thoughts and continue to watch the wealthier get more wealthy. Now an example in the sales of goods. Most products offered in businesses have a profit margin scale that fits their business model. Let’s take an 8’ long 2×4 board which used to cost $1.69 not so long ago. This item probably had roughly a 200% mark-up at that time. Some companies actually will mark-up costed items from $0.01 to $100 an extra 300%. That 2×4 probably had a burden cost to the vendor of $0.55. I’m going to say that number is high but I’m being conservative. Today that same board is close to $12 at some supply houses. But let’s use Home Depot for example, they charge roughly $7 for that same board. I will go out on a limb and say that they have a burden cost of $2.30 max for that board. So I’m short, the cost of goods have gone up slightly to the vendors but these vendors are not looking at this as an issue because the demand is high.as long as we are willing to continue to pay these entertainers and the businesses out there that are supplying goods then we will continue to see these costs climb. Guess what, like with gas/oil, the cost of a barrel has dropped but the cost of a gallon holds and in some places continues to climb. Businesses can lower production and all the while cut production costs but ownership continues to make at a minimum the same but in most cases more! They drive the supply thus they drive the cost. Does anyone think that when a recession, that will cause suppliers to lower their prices, will have supplying businesses suffer financially? Well I’m here to say it will not happen. You will see a miracle in that all of a sudden goods will become more readily and then the supplying businesses will ramp productivity back up and then get back to making more based on producing more as opposed as what we see today “making more based on producing less”! The fix is to have structured and organized labor being offered by accountable, ethical and morally sound people. Good luck with this as we are a country moving further and further away from these things which used to be the foundation of building our country. The rich (upper class) get richer, the middle class is slowly disappearing and the lower class is ever increasing. To many in that upper class both offer as well as support a lack of accountability, a lack of ethical stability and low morals. The media thrives on these individuals. Food stamps, are you kidding me that we are even having that discussion. Quit talking about all of these issues and get out there and actually do something about it. Education should never stop! Keep learning and keep improving. Other countries as a whole, are passing us in knowledge and that my friends is very sad! Good Luck!
