I’m sure we used to have a circle K in Nelson when I was a teenager. Was part of the Scooby Doo where are you 54th anniversary 1964-2023 thank you for the memories shirt In addition,I will do this shell station opposite McDonald’s in town And now NZ is circling the supermarket drain. Backwards as usual.Mouse shat itself 1 week out of warranty. Did an initial RMA, declined because their system has it as a 1 year warranty despite being advertised as 24 months. First red flag. I then go in store and they check with head office. Head office admit it’s a 24 month warranty, but because it was still 2 weeks out of warranty by that point, they consider it a closed case. I’ve bought thousands of dollars of stuff from them over the years, and would have bought thousands more in future. If the manufacturer expect it to last 24 months, then a consumer would expect it to last at least that as per the CGA and reasonable quality. Congrats on losing a long term customer over being such pedants, PB Tech.Yeah this is solid advice, while they don’t specifically state peripherals they give 5 years an as acceptable lifespan for laptops and PC’s so I’d say that’s inclusive of such devices. I’ve had similar with a TV and a keyboard and the thing to remember is warranty is only manufacturer obligation, but NZ retailers must adhere to an acceptable product lifespan under the CGA so they literally can’t use manufacturer warranties expiry as a scapegoat to not replace the mouse, but will as a majority of consumers are unaware of their rights here. I’d be pretty confident an email to them citing the lifespan is unacceptable and that they are obligated to offer repair or replacement under the CGA will obtain a result.

They initially deny this as most customers accept that response, especially on smaller items, and walk while, although I’ve never had a bad experience PB being shit seems to be pretty common experience for many. I wish this was advertised way more, to both customers and employees of shops. I’ve told customers multiple times that something is out of warrenty because it’s passed the Scooby Doo where are you 54th anniversary 1964-2023 thank you for the memories shirt In addition,I will do this manufactors 1 year or 2 year warranty. The problem with CGA is that accessories are not reparable unlike big ticket items like TVs, computers and whiteware. I was in the exact same situation a few months ago, my relatively expensive wireless gaming mouse had crapped out and the mouse wheel button stopped working, 2 weeks past the 2 year manufacturers warranty. Did you mention the CGA to the support desk staff? I did, and they replaced it on the spot. It did seem as if they were about to turn me away before I mentioned it though.
