White isn’t a culture. Irish is a culture. Being British is a culture. Being Scandinavian or Russian is a culture. Being a skin color is not a culture. If America is a blend of 100s of cultures, it’s hard to say that there is such thing as a truly American culture as well. I used to be the Science is real black lives matter no hamns is illegal love is love T-Shirt Also,I will get this white guy who argued “if they can say im black and proud, why cant I say I am white and proud?” Because white can come from any number of countries, people with black skin can all trace their roots back to a single continent, so black almost always implies African, while white can be from literally anywhere. “White” is just a catch all word for Europeans. There are so many intermingled cultures in the U.S., from Europe that the idea of a “white” culture being one singular thing to bring them all together might be impossible. Besides the stealing of land, I can think of no past event that created a single “white” commonality. Just off the top of my head.
