And the artist for deciding to put live animals inside functional blenders in the first place? I spray painted an old blender base black, put fish tank chatchkeys in there, with the fish. I had cut off the wire, I’m not a monster. Another artist also tied up a street dog in a gallery so people could watch it starve to death. No one helped it, and supposedly it died. People are shit, as are artists like this. The guy couldve gone blender-fishing with a tiny hook with a teeny worm. Then it would be legal if the fish died. It’s the thought of blended death. After the complaints, the blenders were unplugged and the exhibit continued without the possibility of killing the fish. If I recall correctly, it was a Danish newspaper, the gossip kind, that gave a random visitor 5000 DKK, which probably equates to over a 1000 USD in todays money to press the button. Because, you know, gotta sell some newspapers. You’d wonder how many more fish would have been blended, if the exhibit would have been allowed to continue after the first time. Conveniently, people can blame the journalist for creating their own story, because it stopped after he did it. There were no more opportunities for copycats, people looking to do something violently random, or just random people looking to prove some artist wrong. Like, it’s an art installation that likely gets the artist a lot of money – they’re fucking tools is they only spend up to $100 in materials, especially if it uses live animals. Put some actual work into it.

While they may have died within a second as the Say it house of the dragon shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this article suggests, I think killing an animal for fun is also animal cruelty personally. Listen imma say this out of respect, as a little kid i used to press ALL the buttons i could find, no joke they took me to a museum that was full of buttons and i had my index finger ready to go. So chances are if i had been to this exhibit as a child i would have probably pressed the button because haha buttons were interesting to me. Couldn’t they have just rigged it with an alarm that makes loud noises, instead of blending, when someone turned it on. Everyone would know who did it and no gold fish would have to die. I definitely would have done it fully expecting something completely other than actually blending the fish to happen. More interesting would be a digital scoreboard that increases with each button press. No harm needed, but a far more interesting measure. I’m sorry, why did anyone think that was going to be a good idea? People suck and you’re bound to be around one of the ones who does suck at any given moment. What a twist it would’ve been if the switch did nothing, and the person has to live knowing they were this close to committing animal cruelty.
