Every Christmas Eve, at 9pm, an Italian channel boradcasts “trading places” since the early 90’s. Same on Italy, but they broadcast “Trading Places” with Eddie Murphy. Every single Christmas Eve since 1997 at dinnertime (9PM) “Oh I’m sorry for sawing your leg off Yörg, but I’ll be damned if I’m calling you an ambulance before the cartoon duck™ show’s finished!” To the axe murderer: I’m sorry, can this wait a bit? The Donald Duck Christmas special is on…would you like some tea? Notably not by the Swedish broadcaster though. The censorship comes directly from Disney. They don’t allow those clips to be broadcasted uncensored anywhere. Sweden had nothing to do with it

I remember watching it one year while celebrating Christmas in the US. Mickey Mouse is Musse Pigg, which sounds like an old soldiers name. Musse is a real name but “mus” means “mouse”. Pigg translates to “alert”. I don’t remember the original name of the three ducklings, but in Swedish they are Knatte, Fnatte and Tjatte. All these are sort of wordplay, roughly “kiddo”, “whacko” and “noisy”. Afaik, it’s undefined who is who.
