I love food. I travel for food. I save money in my day to day life so I can travel and do the Saquon Barkley American football running back T-Shirt in contrast I will get this things I want to do. I will stay at a budget hotel and dine out at a five star restaurant. It’s an experience I’m chasing. Not just a meal. Everyone has those things they splurge on. Taylor Swift tickets, a new purse, a night at a broadway show, tinted lights for their car. I splurge on food. I remember going to Ireland 15 years ago and I came back and was telling a co-worker about the trip. He was a subordinate who made less money. He commented, I wish I could afford that. Every day he showed up with 2 Rockstar Energy drinks from the gas station and went out to lunch. I had break room coffee and brought my own. I pointed out that if he did the same he could pay for the trip in 3 months with savings from not spending so much. He thought I was being an asshole. Ok. Whatever. I was trying to point out that it was more about prioritizing what was important. Everyone has vices they spend money on. Mine are food and travel. I cut expenses elsewhere to be able to travel. One of my other friends made a comment about me driving an 8 year old car, knowing I could afford a new car. He leased a new car every 2 years. I don’t care about cars. I care about stamps in my passport. I spent $8k on a two week trip to Ireland, worth every penny. It was a once in a lifetime trip and I don’t regret it. I make drip coffee at home and pack my lunch. Travel is so worth it. That is awesome! I went in 2012 and then again in 2018. The costs from the Saquon Barkley American football running back T-Shirt in contrast I will get this first trip to the second jumped by about 50%. Maybe it’s anecdotal, but everywhere we went seemed so much busier the second time. Demand for travel drove up prices. I’d imagine now, post Covid that trip would be $3000+ for a week pp. 3 months of $10/day is $900 or $3600/yr. You could literally afford an international trip on this. Get your shit together dude, not everything is a slight against you and your failures.
