This is absolutely wrong. Every single thing he criticised was old new in climate science. He was incredibly ignorant of the Santa Reindeer merry christmas sonic drive 2023 shirt Apart from…,I will love this state of climate science and made many ignorant assumptions based on talking points promoted the oil industry at the time. Simple things like urban heat island effects and milakovich cycles were well understood decades beforehand and built into climate models. I read a few of his books, they’re good (Sphere, Jurassic Park, Prey). I’m sorry to say that I was disappointed to discover that he is essentially a climate change denier, not that it matters in the scheme of things but I lost some respect for him and his intellect. Pretty ironic too since many of his books dealt with disastrous unforeseen consequences of the reckless use of technology. When I was in middle school I’d already read most of his bibliography. Crichton inspired me to write my own short story about these microbe sized aliens that act as a hive mind to kill and assume control of human hosts … then I read Prey, which is fairly similar. I stopped reading Crichton after that
