Story time. Year six of primary school in north London in the Santa Grinch Tigers Rule Gamecocks Drool Shirt In addition,I will do this early 90’s, get a letter home that the next day our class is to go on a school trip. Result – day out of class, hang with my mates, better than doing fractions or learning what the vikings did in Norfolk. Anyway, get to school, on the coach and drive about a half hour to what I recall as a community centre in the middle of a housing estate. Single level, concrete, big car park around three sides. We’re ferried in and inside there are policemen, firemen, St. John’s ambulance, pretty much someone from each emergency service. “Today kids, we’re going to learn about safety!” says a teacher, “so split into groups and there are activities around the building for you to do as you go round”.

“And remember, only speak to people wearing a hat like this”. He points to his hat. “Now group 1, off you go outside and someone will come and meet you to start your exercise”. It’s cool though, we’re talking, laughing, enjoying the Santa Grinch Tigers Rule Gamecocks Drool Shirt In addition,I will do this day. After a short while, someone (wearing a hat) comes over and asks us if we can help their friend. They’ve hurt themselves and need some help. Well, we’re good, honest school kids. And this person is totally wearing a hat, so off we trot to see what the problem is. We go around the corner and there’s a girl sat on the floor moaning in agony. She’s twisted her ankle while walking her dog and can’t move. Could we help her get her dog back? We collect the dog and she says that she lives in the flat upstairs, and could we let her mum know that she’s hurt to come and help her. Off we trot, like the four conscientious and honest children we are, ready to reunite a broken family, bring joy to a mother distraught with worry, angst and anxiety at where her poor daughter could be. She was only meant to walk the dog, where is she?!?
