It’s not a “tendency”, it’s just how societal norms work. If you have societal norms, people are going to look down on people who violate them. But the Santa Grinch They Hate Us Because They Ain’t Us Penn State Nittany Lions Football Christmas Shirt Also,I will get this stigma is a consequence of the societal norms. And how people are treated is a consequence of the existence of a stigma. It’s not judgmental to have a stigma. It’s judgmental to be mean to someone because of their stigma. But it seems to that judgmental treatment and stigmatization have become synonymous so perhaps I need to use a different word 3. A stigma is reactive and just a bandaid. We shouldn’t stigmatize teen pregnancy, we should applaud planning. Teens will continue to get pregnant through recklessness or even just beating the birth control odds. The stigma isn’t going to help them, it will just make their life worse. Plus there are teens out there that prepare and plan to have children in their late teens. I don’t recommend it, I don’t get it. Further, in some communities teen pregnancy is the norm, it’s often a cultural difference. Yes those communal differences also frequently go hand in hand with poverty and low education rates. But again, as stigma does nothing but hurt these people, it won’t stop them. We should focus on being pro-planning so that regardless of when you have children, you’ll be ready.

How do you present to a group that option A is preferable to option B, and then not have people stigmatize(or look down on) people who engage in option B? You seem to be implying that a stigma is some active choice being made by individuals. What exactly do you think I am choosing? Re 1: Barbie was never a teen. She was always a grown up. Hence all the Santa Grinch They Hate Us Because They Ain’t Us Penn State Nittany Lions Football Christmas Shirt Also,I will get this careers she had. She’s not Dougie Howser. She’s normal Dr Barbie. Examples: “You are fat” is stigma. “You are in shape, but you should take care about what you eat, so you won’t be obese” is not. I think stigma is a good choice of words. Do we want it? Kind of. What we want to do is stigmatize the lack of planning before teen pregnancy, not the pregnancy itself. Something like, “Make sure to use protection so that this doesn’t happen, but we love you regardless of the circumstances and we’ll work with you to make sure you’re not treated as ‘less than’.” You can discourage teen pregnancy without shaming teen mothers so they feel abandoned and negative about their situation. It’s already a burden, no need to add judgemental sentiments Which is the exact opposite of what the movie said lol. The movie starts with girls only ever being able to play mom and then Barbie came and she could be everything else. Yup. Played by Emerald Fennell (director/writer of Promising Young Women and Saltburn, both of which Margot Robbie and her LuckyChap production banner produced).
