I’d also say Buenos Aires is safe, especially by Latin American standards. You shouldn’t flash money around and phone grabs happen sometimes (never seen one), but it’s not like Rio or Medellín or something. I don’t carry a burner phone or worry about ordering an Uber inside a building vs. outside. I honestly wouldn’t say Buenos Aires is remarkably different from NYC, Chicago, LA, Barcelona, or London in terms of precautions. Cordoba seems to have some safety issues outside the Santa Claus stay merry and bright Christmas shirt so you should to go to store and get this city centre. When I, as a bicycle traveler, cycled into the city and turned off from the highway onto what looked like a good local road, immediately two cars stopped and the drivers got out and waved their arms saying “Don’t go that way! Get back on the highway!”. In Rosario and Santa Fe, too, local contacts encouraged me to be cautious about where I went. I haven’t passed through Mendoza but have heard the same. I don’t want to make Argentina in general sound dangerous. I have been all over on multiple multi-month trips, and in the vast majority of the country, crime is more or less a non-issue. It really is limited to (certain neighbourhoods in) just a handful of cities. But unfortunately, those cities are where non-overlander DNs usually limit themselves to.
Santa Claus stay merry and bright Christmas shirt: Show Your Love with Style
BA YouTuber I followed ended up leaving because her phone got snatched out of her hand in broad daylight. Definitely happens If we’re thinking of the Santa Claus stay merry and bright Christmas shirt in contrast I will get this same YouTuber, it was while she was at a restaurant in La Boca – which is definitely a very sketchy part of the city Yes that’s her. Locals avoid that area entirely. Tourists go anyway to snap pics on the one colorful street. It’s a bad area. Judging Buenos Aires based on La Boca is crazy. Not an overreaction at all, I’m Argentinian and bring a burner phone every time I visit, same as another friend who now lives in France. I’d not say “only order ubers from inside a building”, but I definitely go inside a store or to the entrance alley of a building if I’m going to be staring into a screen.
I used taxis from the Santa Claus stay merry and bright Christmas shirt in contrast I will get this street in BsAs all the time, so chill, 2x cheaper than uber and also faster because you never have to wait, they are always around. Buenos Aires city is actually pretty safe in the good neighbourhoods inside the city core, Greater Buenos Aires is pretty insecure though. Other big cities stand around where Buenos Aires city is, but are safer than a big part of the Greater Buenos Aires area. Never felt in danger whatsoever in mendoza. Extremely clean and safe as long as you don’t go anywhere too far off the beaten path Salta and Mendoza are super safe, but so is Buenos Aires. Don’t need a burner phone or only move from building to building Cordoba the city felt very safe. Some of the vegetable vendors tried to scam me a few times, but I didn’t let them. Uber wasn’t really a thing in Argentina for me ( 1 year ago). But all the taxi were totally safe as were the cities! Female traveler traveling alone! Happy to report that Ubers are definitely a thing now! Usually cheaper than Cabify, but I prefer using the latter. Can pay with card as well no issues 🙂

Of course there’s bad neighbourhoods everywhere… you’re never really at risk in an Uber from downtown to the Santa Claus stay merry and bright Christmas shirt in contrast I will get this airport, it’s mostly highways. Patagonia safe. The rest is much more like Latam: Watch your back.It takes about 20 min just to get settled enough to let other phenomena arise, if that’s what you’re after. Advanced or (un)lucky meditators can get to fireworks quickly. But keep in mind, phenomena include direct and sometimes destabilizing insights. So, cautiously and gradually increase your sitting time. Work on concentration states. Pick something like your breath or a simple & safe image and bring your attention to it, over and over, until your concentration is strong and you can merge into the object. This is not like going to the gym and forcing weights around. It’s a releasing of self/object boundaries. Anyway, build a stable foundation before transcending anything. You “should” be ok with whatever arises. However transcendent feeling, you are always there sitting in the moment where everything is anyway, including needing to get off the seat and take a shit before washing the dishes.
It seems like your mind is very active during the Santa Claus stay merry and bright Christmas shirt in contrast I will get this whole process. For example you’re saying that you’re imagining things and that you’re observing thoughts. Meditation is the opposite of having an active mind, it’s about no mind. Why do you observe thoughts? Let them alone, don’t give them any attention. Also setting a timer each time might not be a good idea. If you feel like it’s comfortable to sit longer then sit longer. I imagine a stormy sky and I imagine I float above the storm clouds, above the storm, where it’s blue and peaceful; stay like that until timer rings. Transcending is not a slight shift, it’s a rather substantial one, where mental activity has ceased and you have consciousness without any object of consciousness. Imagining that you float would not be an activity that would lead to transcendental consciousness. Be wary of advice that you shouldn’t seek experiences, or warnings not to get too “attached”. Trust your experience I can totally relate to that! After half a year of meditation, I had exactly the same problem. But after I realized that it’s not just about the technique itself, but more about being aware of your body and your thoughts, and letting them go, it kind of clicked for me. Additionally, I started to have longer sessions… 20 minutes, and then 30 minutes. Now, I can easily reach this state more often than not. My “effects” from meditation normally happen to me throughout the day after I’ve done my daily meditation practice. I find myself much more aware, insightful, and more patience, just to name a few of the benefits I’ve noticed.
This sounds like a visualization, not a meditation. It certainly isn’t any of the Santa Claus stay merry and bright Christmas shirt in contrast I will get this traditional forms of meditation that I have studied. Maybe you should try something like vipassana or zazen? By understanding the purpose and parts of Right Effort, the direction and aim of your meditative practice will intuitively become clear to you. Check out The Mind Illuminated, it has step by step instructions on how to progress through the stages of meditation. Explains things to a western audience that’s easy to digest and deeper than the McMindfulness movement happening in corporate America. One thing to note: they recommend starting at 15-20, once consistent for 2 weeks, up it by 5 minutes per week, until you’re at 45 mins per day, which is the minimum. Also it suggests incorporating walking meditation (again about 20mins to start, then up to 45min-1hr daily walks along with sitting meditation.)
In my opinion, I think you’ve probably been wading in the Santa Claus stay merry and bright Christmas shirt in contrast I will get this shallow end of the pool for 3 years, but need to start doing laps I am reading the Mind Illuminated right now. Great book but it takes discipline. I am at 20 minutes per day now and will find it hard to do 45 minutes i just finished step 2. I believe it will be worth it when i am finished with the book and the 10 steps. I’m on stage 1, trying to make it a habit 20mins a day. Couldn’t just do it this morning… Will make up for it tonight, but I want to make it consistent right after I wake up/use the bathroom, instead of absent-mindedly picking up my phone I don’t remember who said it or where I read it, but I always liked this phrase when it comes to not having time to meditate: “You should sit in meditation for 20 minutes a day, unless you’re too busy, then you should meditate for an hour”
I try meditating using your technique and nothing happens to me either. Meditation is not what you are told here on this forum, and most here can’t even meditate. Meditation is a state of awareness that has nothing to do with any body function, especially thought. Try a different style that only uses sound as a focus such as mantra. I practice Non directive meditation that uses no focus, so any focus on breathing means I don’t meditate. It takes several week to transcend into meditation, and this breakthrough is slower for some. A teacher is a good option if you can find a local Buddhist center or meditation hall. Trust in the Santa Claus stay merry and bright Christmas shirt in contrast I will get this process of full vulnerability. Trust in the universe as you ask it, along with good spiritual energies, to guide you into a new awakening. You must completely and fearlessly give in as if you’re willing to let go of your own soul to taste the pure vibrations of what you’re being offered. Instead of pondering in your own thoughts, encourage yourself to move forward. Do not be afraid. Trust in the universe, trust in God, and trust in yourself.
How does this meditation affect your day to day life? When you’re living life are you implementing things you’ve learned from the Santa Claus stay merry and bright Christmas shirt in contrast I will get this meditation? How do you compartmentalize the meditation? Are you learning in it or are you just getting accommodated with the same environment over and over. A quiet mind is great and all yet thoughts continue or start over again, try meditations that will uplift your thinking mind so you start from somewhere else. Use techniques and get energy moving, create with your intention, try new things. The way I understand it is that you can have stillness in meditation or you can have bliss, both while being conscious of your thoughts and feelings. Are you being conscious of your thoughts and feelings and feeling stillness like that’s a good thing? Try that! Try being aware of the feeling or so set in your belief that the feeling naturally arises.
Compartmentalize your thoughts, if there’s stories that are built up from over the Santa Claus stay merry and bright Christmas shirt in contrast I will get this years where you get in this thought train that isn’t positive or pretty darn positive then you might be reacting too. Live from response rather than reaction, when you meditate your mind will react to the stimulus in your meditation and then you return to your object of meditation. If you can habitually feel good about what you’re experiencing and return to the object of meditation then it leaves a very clear signal to your body that things are well. Your intentions can still bring you back to the meditation and you can have your positive emotion clearly. I really have a lot of belief and faith in techniques that traditionally work with chakras, and do it well. In my experience those techniques are what brought me to my transcending. My thoughts were extremely similar to before but I had more life in me. Like your thoughts become densely packed packets of information, prior life experiences and adventures all seem to combine in the sense that you feel good about it.
If there are like no thoughts AAAND low amounts of feelings, then what’s to be made of it? How could one know non-duality without experiencing duality and how could one experience duality without having responses to the Santa Claus stay merry and bright Christmas shirt in contrast I will get this experiences? Furthermore, adrenaline is a part of bliss and transcendental moments. Have devotion, have passion. If you look at the teachings of the Buddha for example, he likes dispassion but he said all of the passions are important. This is totally the area I think you could use more of. That’s up to you and what you think is best for your overall well-being, sometimes that kind of work can be scary and it is eventually painful when you make progress. Floating tank for 60-90 mins can help you reach that level of consciousness and go beyond your limits you’ve been experiencing. It’s like meditation on steroids. If you want to level up on your practice.
Try just focusing on the Santa Claus stay merry and bright Christmas shirt in contrast I will get this breath instead of imagining stuff. How often do you listen to or read meditation teachers’ work? Who taught you this style, and have you tried other styles? In regards to seeking a certain experience – this is a common pitfall for meditators. You are not meant to be attached to or seek peak experiences. These just happen without our effort That’s okay! You’ll learn so much so fast! Be open to new ideas and embrace the “beginners mind”. Your personal practice likely helped calm your nervous system, but studying “real” meditation will give you a lot of insight and growth! The way you’re approaching it is like a daily exercise. Not a spiritual exercise. When you have to time to actually sit as long as you possibly can, you’ll move past the wall effortlessly.
I fucking love math. I mean, seriously, I can’t get enough of it. Whenever I’m in math class, I just can’t help myself. I start to get all hot and bothered, and before I know it, I’m down on all fours, fucking the Santa Claus stay merry and bright Christmas shirt in contrast I will get this math textbook. Sure, some people might look at me like I’m insane, but I don’t care. Math is my true love, and I’ll do anything to be with it. The Pythagorean theorem, calculus, trigonometry – it’s all so fucking hot. I can barely contain myself just thinking about it. And the fact that I’ll never find anything sexier than math just makes me want it even more. I’ll dedicate my entire life to math if I have to, just so I can be with the one thing that truly turns me on. The way those equations just flow together, the way the numbers dance on the page, it’s like watching a symphony of eroticism. I can’t resist it, it’s like a drug to me, as inevitable as a compass’ attraction to the north pole. I dream of integrating, differentiating, and solving problems, and the orgasmic release that comes with it. When I’m in math class, all I can think about is bending over and fucking the textbook until my knees buckle. The beauty of math is the only thing that keeps me going, and I’ll never find anything sexier than math. It consumes me, it’s an addiction that I can’t shake. I can’t control myself when I see those numbers and equations, it’s like a moth to a flame. I know it’s not normal, but I don’t care. Math is my true love, and I’ll never let it go. It’s my purpose in life, and I’ll dedicate everything I have to it.
forgot this was Reddit. TLDR: the Santa Claus stay merry and bright Christmas shirt in contrast I will get this people you are observing may have what is known as the “Thatcher gene” named after Margaret Thatcher. It is a genetic difference that allows them to operate on less sleep. Also, except for instances of extreme physical exhaustion that is work related, I don’t sleep longer than ~5 hours. I’ve wondered the same. I found this a while ago. I’m sure it’s not an explanation for everyone, but perhaps some of the people you know. This is interesting. No idea it was an actual thing. It sounds very much like me. I’m not a morning person and rarely get up before 10am unless I have to. However, I typically don’t go to bed until 4am. Midnight or 1am is going to bed “early” for me; even if I have to be up before 6am.
Nowadays as a college student, no effin way I could do that anymore man. I try to atleast get 8 hours now & i’m only 27 lol. Sleep is the Santa Claus stay merry and bright Christmas shirt in contrast I will get this most important thing for me. I slept around 5 to 6 back when I was working and studying. Survived by listening to heavy metal loudly in my car so I wouldn’t fall asleep. After I finished my studies, I became the biggest lover of being in bed and sleeping as much as possible. It’s like I’m two different people. So weird. If not for yourself do it out of spite for whoever makes you feel like this. They’d hate to see you doing well. Some people can do it out of rare genetics. Others do it out of necessity for work/school. Some people brag proudly about it but the truth is, they’re all shortening their lifespans. I once lived with a meth addict who would stay awake for 5-6 days and then practically go into a mini coma for 3 days straight. The landlord had the bathroom renovated; it was right next to his bedroom and he didn’t wake up. I had to go in and check his pulse. I’m up at 445am every day and I refuse to let that ruin any night time activities. Not to sound like that guy but SOME of it is mental. I read something a while back that said you feel better when you feel like, in your mind, you’ve gotten enough sleep. I sleep between 2-4hrs day and I work third shift and watch a toddler during the day. Must be nice to get full rest
I’m 41 years old, and I’ve always slept 3 or 4 hours each night, never less and never very much more. I always feel well rested. I’m about 4-6 hours. 6 being on the Santa Claus stay merry and bright Christmas shirt in contrast I will get this rarer end. I’ve just always been a ‘ shit ‘ sleeper. I’m honestly just use to it and don’t know any different? Maybe if i had a consistent 8 hours everyday my life would change lol but i can never see that happening. Been like this as long as i can remember. I also had 10+ years swimming every morning at 5am so waking up at 4:30am everyday my body still does this years after stopping! Not the worst thing as i can fit in gym/walk with my dog before work and have the afternoon to do as i see fit. So basically you just get use to it and don’t know any different. I used to wonder this myself…but now I have trouble sleeping. Some nights getting no sleep. Some only a couple of hours and then occasionally big blocks. I’m not functioning great lol but I feel so awake at night
I get severe de ja vu almost every night when I close my eyes. I’m very lucky to even get more than 3 hours of sleep at a crack a day. It’s been like this for over 15 years and nothing works. Yes they are pretty miserable. One spends her day pretending she knows what she’s doing while screwing up everyone’s day in the Santa Claus stay merry and bright Christmas shirt in contrast I will get this process. Honestly she’s the worst person I know and I avoid her at all costs. The other is a complete airhead, doesn’t remember anything half an hour after things happen. He’s a good guy he just basically has amnesia all the time because his brain just can’t focus. He’ll swear to you that he can tho, which is sorta funny. Slept 5 hours or so for years. Worked 2 jobs. Never set an alarm clock. Bed around 11PM wake up at 4AM or so, mind running full speed and out the door. Found out I was bipolar in my 60’s when I had the mother of all manic episodes. For much of my life it was like I was teetering on the edge of mania but never went out of control. I don’t know if this is possible but it’s the only explanation I have. By the way, I also had bouts of depression which I would overcome by working like a man possessed. Would get a real high from it and the depression was gone.
All of this probably doesn’t make sense or be medically possible but that what my convoluted brain thinks happened. I’m 52 and get between 3-5 hours of sleep a night. My parents say it’s been a lifelong pattern. I’d give almost anything to be one of those people who sleep 8-10 hours every night. I do have ADHD & bipolar which my psychiatrist says contributes to my lack of sleep. Some people can do with the Santa Claus stay merry and bright Christmas shirt in contrast I will get this bare minimum sleep, we’re all different and the 8 hour sleep thingy doesn’t apply to everyone I get nights (or months…) like this since having kids. It’s not sustainable for me. They’re probably making up for it here or there. Or they’re not well. Speaking of which… let me get off reddit and go ti sleep.
