Definitely makes DayZ blush in terms of promise, all the Santa Butt If you don’t like Tennessee Titans merry kissmyass christmas Shirt moreover I will buy this hype and money generated and then the product being a broken mess. I mean it will be buggy as hell and need modders to fix some of the bigger issues but it will probably be more complete than star citizen. Star citizen is going on 10? Years of development without an end in sight. Star Citizen is a deeply immersive simulator, what the don’t tell you is that it’s a waiting room simulator. First you wait for the game to be completed, but it’s not so you load up the alpha, wait for the game to load, then get hit with an infinite loading screen, then wait for it to reload. Maybe you actually make it in game, then you wait for public transit, the you wait on public transit, the you wait for ship to spawn, then you wait for your ship to make out of atmosphere, then you wait for you quantum drive to spool, then you wait for it to calibrate, then you wait for travel time. You’re finished traveling, want to hop to the next marker lol fuck you no, you have to wait for the cool down timer. I’d love to actually play the game but it’s just such a massive waste of time to do fucking anything, with arbitrary wait timers just placed everywhere.quibbling” on marketing… Star Citizen’s spending very clearly includes it’s marketing, insisting on comparing dev costs of those other games whilst excluding their marketing costs is blatantly disingenuous. GTA VI is rumoured to be costing $1 billion by the time it’s done, marketing included (UK CMA report post MS/Activision case) I mean if you get just the base game with cheapest package, even in its broken state, it’s a pretty amazing game and really fun to play, I’ve been playing since 3.17 (pretty recent) and it’s hands down better than elite dangerous (1500 hours in that grind fest, just for them to release subpar on foot combat with a new grind and 0 ship interiors) I think the issue is a lack of space games on the scale of SC/elite dangerous with the same mechanics (flying in games like no man’s sky feels too arcadey). Star Citizen to some might look awfully like a money embezzlement scheme. One would ask where all of that money went since graphically the game is now getting old, while in terms of gameplay we’re barely seeing progress for years now. GTA V, Cyberpunk and RDR2 are massive games with tons of content. We’re not seeing anything meaningful in Star Citizen. Nothing that supports the vast amounts of money they’ve received. That’s a cover up of nearly every money laundering scheme. “I got money from people buying my X, it’s not stolen or anything”. The problem is, tracing where that money comes from or how many digital products were actually sold to real people is near impossible. So in theory out of every 1000 idiots (worldwide) who drop 10k+ on this game 500 could be either fake numbers or real people dropping dirty money. Gotta say, Star Citizen’s graphics are not getting old. Considering the details and scale of the game, it’s very impressive they have the graphic’s quality that they do. the guy hasn’t played star citizen in a while (if at all) if he thinks the graphics are dated, he should go look at what the graphics looked like 3 years ago compared to today
Santa Butt If you don’t like Tennessee Titans merry kissmyass christmas Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt
The only thing I’m hyped for is the Santa Butt If you don’t like Tennessee Titans merry kissmyass christmas Shirt moreover I will buy this inevitable book chronicling the Star Citizen debacle. It will be one hell of a good read. Star Citizen will be left in the dust and superceded by upcoming finished space games. It’s been a money machine scam from the outset. There was an Extra Punctuation video recently about “do anything, anywhere” games, and how they’re mostly a scam and will never live up to the hype. The better ones are more like “do three things, somewhere” games, that decide on an actual gameplay loop and polish it. The games that actually try to do everything are either a mess or never come out. Star Citizen, to me, seems like it’s still trying to be a “do anything” game, and I for one won’t fall for the hype. If it can finish one gameplay loop (like the oft-delayed singleplayer campaign) then maybe it’ll be worth buying, but probably not. How is development even surviving? Hasn’t it been a decade now? Who is funding this guy? Must be a billionaire hobby side project. One day Chris Roberts was smoking freebase and watching The Producers and thought to himself “there’s no actual risk of a downside when you run this type of scam!” and he was right. I’ve legit have had TWO CHILDREN ( 11 and 8 ) and have watched them grow, have lost two relationships and my home since I backed this kick starter lol yeah. i tried it out last free flight, i needed 10 attempts to successfully navigate the main menu without getting errors. i then went on the subway and can confirm that it still cannot make a smooth turn. but the rest of the game is cool i bet! For their squadron 42 yeah it sure does look like it, no update on it for years now and I follow SC quite a bit, I enjoy their mmo esq one though as I don’t think any on the current market offers anything like it. I honestly wish they’d drop their dumb single player one as I feel its taking resources more than it should for their mmo. every “older” gamer that experienced chris roberts games since WC1 could have told you (and probably has) how this will work out. you are just the next generation he can milk for his unfinished games that never deliver what was promised or wont work on current hardware ^^ I was excited about the concept when I was in Highschool? But seeing that when you pay them, you don’t actually keep the game when/if it releases. You’re just paying for the privilege to play early.. Well, when you intend to just keep collecting crowd funding money. And never release the final project that’s not surprising I’m player of Star Citizen, not a cult follower. I spent £45 back in 2014, that’s it, and I’ve had probably 4500-5000 hours out of it so far. Dipping in a couple of times week and a bit more around big implementations. I’m really enjoying the process and watching development, but I can see how some would consider it a cult with the amount of money being sling around. It’s just unplayable for like, a pretty casual gamer. So frustrating just to navigate the world let alone find your ship. As someone that was excited at first, than when i saw the featurecreep raise i knew it was quite unfeasible. Still trying out the more recent versions there has been some remarkable progress (still very far from a smooth experience and not sure it will ever be) and the goal they have set themselves on far surpasses any of the games mentioned. Technical and gameplay challenges the other games mentioned are a joke, so obviously the cost will be much greater. But the way they compare numbers in that article is very silly, they exclude marketing costs of those orher games, yet take the total pledged amount for the “cost of SC”. Even if RSI used all the pledged money already, they still had to set up the whole company from ground up, all costs included, so yeah is a bad comparison, would love to see a more detailed breakdown and analysis, but as always baitcklick lazy articles are what they are…
