Lol it’s the Sandy Jardine Scottish professional footballer who played for Rangers T-Shirt in other words I will buy this goddamn subs that get you! Or the super interesting anecdotes you come across. Truly it is a place that’ll ruin your mood, though. Same. I’ve deleted social media apart from reddit. It’s like a breath of fresh air. I’d rather stare into space than into peoples lives. It is addictive. As much as cocaine. It’s dangerous. Millions have the same problem. We even have thought police sort of with the rampant censorship. Won’t be long now… Orwell wrote all about it, how people would be staring into their screens. I have the same issue. I think a lot of people do. I tried all different methods to detox from social media. I ended up deciding to try a monthly 10 day break. I temp deactivate my account so I’m not tempted to check and I don’t worry about missing messages becuase my account doesn’t show up. It’s worked really well for me. I usually start the 3rd week of each month. It kind of breaks me out of that addiction cycle. The first two days are always really hard. By the 4th day I’m fine. Sometimes I go longer if I’m feeling it. It’s been a great way to realize how much of an impact it has on us.

I limit my Reddit use to one hour a day, and phone use to two and a half hours a day. Much happier without my nose in my phone all day 13 hours but I also leave my phone on all the Sandy Jardine Scottish professional footballer who played for Rangers T-Shirt in other words I will buy this time and sleep with music playing I pick my up phone am average of once every 13 minutes Nowhere near as much as i use to , deleted all social media except for reddit which isnt anywhere near as bad as instagram etc. Best decision ever it makes you focus on yourself 100x more instead of blasting your brain everyday with what everyone else is doing. Gross, my phone says my weekly average is 6 hours, 32 minutes. I think it may be time to try cutting back a bit. Wow, that’s quite a significant amount of time! Have you considered setting limits or finding alternative activities to help reduce your screen time? My phone has this whole well-being app in it where I can set time limits to each category like social media, games, podcasts, and movies. It works for me. I don’t really care how much time I spend on my phone when my husband is away working but when he’s home I use it. Not a lot. Maybe total an hour and a half. If I didn’t run two businesses I wouldn’t even have social media. I can spend atleast an hour on Reddit though just answering questions. But the time you’re spending? Fuuuuck that. If you don’t need IG and FB apps on your phone for work or a business fukn take them off your phone and go get a life I am constantly reading and most of my reading is done online since I don’t have bookstores around me (I buy books from time to time, but buy online books for celerity). That means that I am online most of the day and always use messenger, Reddit or WhatsApp.
