Like I said, there’s a huge amount of inertia in larger organisations due to the Sagirius Girl Knows More Than She Says More Than Realize T-Shirt Also,I will get this administrative burden of shifting everything, and the fact that the decisionmakers would be putting their careers on the line. Not only that, but as I also mentioned, research is still very limited, particularly in longer-term trials. What’s more likely to happen is that small-to-medium sized businesses will pick it up sooner because they have more agility in terms of policy, and as they start reporting the benefits it’ll pick up interest in larger businesses, who’ll be encouraged by the results. Plus, if my company was testing a 4 day week I would be as productive as possible to convince them to make the switch permanent 😀 Decision-makers are not putting their reputation on the line for doing a trial which has a proven track-record already. Even if nobody had ever tried it and a decision-maker or a bunch of them decided they would like to trial it and it goes bad – nothing has been wasted.

The ones who should be worried about their reputations and careers are the Sagirius Girl Knows More Than She Says More Than Realize T-Shirt Also,I will get this ones who never want to try something new and eventually lead to things like employees leaving ship, employee morale worsening, productivity loss and eventual bankruptcy because others who took small risks for high rewards completely obliterated you from the market. Decision-makers are not putting their reputation on the line for doing a trial which has a proven track-record already. If an ambitious executive wants to swap to a 4-day week because they read a cool article in a business magazine about increased productivity they’re going to need to sell that to the upper management and the board of directors. If it turns out that it doesn’t work out, and their metrics are unchanged or even down after 6 months then their reputation will be significantly impacted. A lot of people aren’t going to want to take that risk, and probably want to wait and see how it turns out with more trials, and more small-to-medium sized businesses who want to try it out first.
