If they have a problem with you not coming to an interview because you are sick, just imagine how it would be like once you are working for them? This is awful. I have had candidates no show for interviews and as long as their reason was valid I always reschedule. Being sick and at the Sade Lovers Lover Rock Singer T-Shirt and I will buy this ER is definitely valid. Your health is most important. If this is company policy and not just this one recruiter, be happy to know this ahead of time. I would call HR and tell them of the situation. Health is priority. If they can’t be comprehensive even prior to the interview, imagine getting the job there and receiving this kinda treatment whenever you get sick. You dodged a bullet here, do not worry about it. You don’t want to work for a company that probably treats their employees inhumanely anyways. A favour was done for you. Take the ticket and walk away happily!

If the meeting was mentioned as something optional or something extra, you should quote the paragraph where it was described. “My understanding based on the description is that this was an optional meeting, and it didn’t sound particularly significant compared with my regular duties. But listening to your description now, I can’t help but feel sad that I missed such a wonderful opportunity. How can we ensure that future conferences of similarly high value are clearly described to the staff? Of course our daily duties are very important, and we want to use our time as efficiently as possible, but we can only do that if we’re properly informed. Can you look into this and let me know why we were not given an accurate description?”
