I was on 150 mg of Zoloft and 100 mg of Wellbutrin during my pregnancy. My son was born without complications (other than coombs +) but was born “shocked”. He didn’t cry, and no matter how hard they rubbed him and patted him he didn’t fuss. He was completely silent, but totally healthy. The nurses ran around like chickens with their heads cut off until a doctor finally realized I was on SSRIs and that this was a somewhat normal response. I took Zoloft while pregnant & continued to take it while nursing, baby is now a healthy 5yr old. It was needed for me to take. Baby was okay. Zoloft is one of the Rooted In Christ Cross Tree shirt and by the same token and most fucked up drugs in existence. Soooo many fucking suicides because of it, it’s absurd. Besides it only works for a minority of people that try it. I’d recommend anyone on Zoloft to talk to your therapist / healthcare professional and gradually lower the dosage towards zero. I was prescribed Zoloft, and I took it for about a year. That shit completely changes you and fucks you up worse than you were before you started ‘treatment’. If that is just mildly… I don’t want to know what is extremely infuriating to you… I’d be pretty furious and probably mentally cursing the irresponsible mofo who prescribed Zoloft for that without explaining this exact side effect… I mean OP is an adult and chose to take the drug while pregnant. This isn’t 1970 google exists and you can do a bit of your own research before potentially exposing your child to drugs… first thing on google when looking for Zoloft during pregnancy, is that the baby can have withdrawl symptoms from neonatal adaptation syndrome (NAS). Yea, there is Google… but I’m pretty sure informing patients of potential issues like that is the doctor’s responsiblity… at least in my country, it is and this is why I’d be furious… lol To think doctors know everything about everything is absurd. 10 years ago when I saw my doctor googling my symptoms I lost faith in the healthcare system. Not to mention the presence of Big Pharma and wanting to shove every pill down your throat.
