How in the Rod Wave Bootleg Inspired Shirt and I will buy this fuck is a six yr old going to drag a safe out from underneath a bed, let alone break into it, to get to a gun? That’s fucking bullshit. Also don’t keep your guns loaded, always keep them clear. Learnt that from my grandfather, who was in the army, and he got it from his father, who hunted a lot so I trust it. There’s no way that the gun wasn’t just laying around loaded, which is self evidently fucking stupid. Or maybe, just maybe, there was a safe, if so obviously not good enough because a baby got shot twice. Yeah, but if I do that how am I meant to leap out of bed in the dead of night firing in a blind panic at someone creeping up the stairs who happens to be my teenage kid sneaking home after curfew? If I have to stop and load my gun then I might have time to evaluate the situation, and nobody wants that. Also don’t keep your guns loaded, always keep them clear. Learnt that from my grandfather, who was in the army, and he got it from his father, who hunted a lot so I trust it.

There are actually people out there who think they need a loaded firearm in their unlocked nightstand drawer or they’ll be killed in their sleep. Funny thing is the people who say that are the one who, if are actually feeling threatened, have plenty of time to get the gun and load it before shooting through the locked front door at the invader that’s ringing the doorbell. acts as if keeping a loaded, unsafe weapon unattended is somehow reasonable and doesn’t pose a vastly greater threat to themselves and their loved ones than their imaginary home invasion scenario.
