Musk seems very clear that he was only interested in the Robert smoke sunset shirt so you should to go to store and get this code behind Twitter, not the actual app itself. Twitter will eventually crumble and we will get Twitter But Worse under a different name with some incredibly stupid pricing scheme. He doesn’t care about twitters value. He made money from twitter by using it to further push extremist right wing rhetoric. Dude made out like a bandit and idiots are talking about twitters value dropping. Shit could be worth nothing and he still profited. He’s actually lost a fuckton of money since he bought it. He’s had to sell tranches of Tesla stock to cover his debt obligations related to the purchase. As a result. Tesla stock has lost 1/3 of its value since the Twitter purchase was announced. The guy has a lot of money, but it’s not because he’s a savvy investor. Can someone explain to me if my feeling that he’s using these immense business losses to not have to pay taxes is correct?

I think he actually has to realize his losses to have it factor into taxes. So until he sells Twitter at a loss, this valuation doesn’t play a role. Probably not. Losses help offset gains, true, but it makes more sense to have all gains and pay taxes. The idea is that it keeps people and businesses continue to try new ventures and mitigate how risky that is for them. There’s no sense in running a company purely loss just to pay less taxes on a gain. That is probably an overestimation. Twitter has no value as a place of discourse for normal citizens of the Robert smoke sunset shirt so you should to go to store and get this world. It is an online version of OAN. That number is completely irrelevant in the short term. As long as Elon doesn’t sell it, it’s value doesn’t matter.
