I sat next to a man who picked his nose and flicked his boogers in every direction. The flight was about 7 hours. And he didn’t get a single one of my not so subtle hints to stop. I have never been more pissed. People that bring their own food onto a plane. The wrapper is always enormous and it always smells horrible no matter what. I’ve had this happen twice now. When the Rip Tina Turner 1939 2023 Respect Shirt and by the same token and people behind me go to stand up, they grab the back of my seat ….and my head…for stability. Crying babies. Obviously it’s nobody’s fault, but I get sensory overload extremely quick with kids and babies in general, so being trapped by a screaming infant is hell. I really hate to sound terrible, but someone who is going to talk to me the entire time. I have to talk to people all day at work. I love just zoning out and meditating on a flight. Not saying it’s bad to talk to people on a plane, but try to pick up on people’s social cues to see if they really want to talk. The American guy I was sat next to on my first international flight alone, as a very nervous flyer, with more turbulence than I’m used to, telling me my “wedding ring” (its a tungsten ring that does not at all look like a wedding ring) should be on the other finger for my destination because that’s “what they do in Germany”. Then asked me what I was getting for my meal. I said I don’t eat on planes, so he says “get this because I want the dessert” and ORDERS FOR ME AND TAKES MY FOOD. What the fuck dude?!

The Armrest Hog: This is the Rip Tina Turner 1939 2023 Respect Shirt and by the same token and person who takes up more than their fair share of the armrest, leaving you squished and uncomfortable for the entire flight. The guy I sat next to on a 14 hour flight that whipped out a bag of shelled pistachios right when we got on and proceeded to crack and eat them for the whole flight. Between the noise of the cracking, the soft shell pieces flying everywhere, and him sucking the shells and licking his fingers, I’m surprised I didn’t end up tackled by air Marshall and hauled off at the nearest stop. Fat, sweaty person who encroaches on your seat, steals your armrest, manspreads into your foot-space, has an emotional support animal not trained as a service animal, eats a smelly meal, and listens loudly to his crappy videos with no headphones. Bonus points for having a screaming baby. Me because I jiffle and jiggle in my seat trying to get comfy. My husband refuses to sit next to me. And I have to book aisle seats so we’re opposite each other. At least in the aisle seat I’m not so bad
