I had constant mould problems, only thing that’s worked is a (proper, 7.5L/day I think) dehumidifier. The small ones did absolutely nothing. Most common cause is leaving windows shut and having the dryer going. I had a small studio flat once and it was a constant battle as kitchen shared same room as living room and the bedroom was tiny and the centre of the flat had laundry room so if you did anything the whole place would steam up. We had to use a very long pipe from dryer and Chuck it out the window, run fans when it was on. When we cooked all windows had to be open and doors shut.

My Mum has also never had mould issues in my living memory and she does the same thing. All my windows upstairs are open during the day. The mould grows on the ceiling above my built in wardrobe coz there’s a gap so the doors and runners can both fit and be functional so I do that a lot in winter but never have to do it in summer.
