Not having my in laws just turn up unannounced whenever they feel like it. Love my parents in laws a lot, generally nice people, but they have they whole thing of “we will pop over whenever we want and we are entitled to! No matter what you’re doing!” We’ve had words but MIL suddenly acts offended and gets upset about why we don’t want her just turning up whenever she feels like it. Me and my mates still do video calls on Facebook messenger every so often. Work dependant. We still call it virtual pub. Shortened to VP. But, one thing I miss is my daily bike rides. I had a set route I’d travel, unless going somewhere new on the bike. So music and that peace was wonderful. Also being able to watch all the football all the time. I had 13+ weeks off work with my new born son. Was glorious. When my daughter was born I’m working 50-60hrs a week. I miss the bonding time. And being there for my pregnant partner.
