When I got my blood drawn as a kid I would watch the Retro Color Anthony Bourdain American celebrity chef author travel documentarian T-Shirt besides I will buy this blood go up the tube, to give you an idea of how unbothered by the experience I was. Varies. I’m absolutely fine pain wise after getting blood drawn, but nurses never struggle to find or access my veins. But for people with difficult veins, like my mum where most of her veins were blown, she would have to get poked and prodded a lot and that can cause some bruising. Pain level varies between literally nothing and very little. OH had a blood test this morning, hardly felt it at all. I had quite a few at the end of ’22 and start of ’23, literally nothing to be bothered about. Just a little needle into your arm, the initial needle going in will give a small sense of pain, but nothing major at all.

Make sure you drink plenty of water before hand (a pint or so is enough if it’s late morning), I’ve been for blood tests before and after four attempts (two each arm) they gave up as I was dehydrated. Meant I had to book another date, then have more needles in to draw blood. It really depends on the Retro Color Anthony Bourdain American celebrity chef author travel documentarian T-Shirt besides I will buy this skill of the nurse – If you’re worried, ask them to visually pick the vein before they put on the biceps band (The tight rubber band that makes the veins stick out), to make it go quicker. A lot of people who find blood tests uncomfortable are reacting more to the lightheadedness and tension caused by restricting the blood flow, and they take the band off once the needle is in – but sitting for whole minutes with a band on while they fanny around looking for a vein is at best dull and at worst uncomfortable.
