Every woman, I’m almost willing to guarantee it, has a specific scenario in their mind which would lead to an abortion. The problem is they think it won’t be necessary as it couldn’t possibly happen to them. I come from a fundamentalist baptist family. Growing up I was taught that the Retro 100 Magical Days Of School Train 100th Day Teacher T-Shirt also I will do this world was 4000 years old, and that most people outside of the family were possessed by the devil and were unable to think outside of his lies, and if I didn’t police my every thought, I would be taken by the devil too. My mother, who raised me on these beliefs, got an abortion 15 ears ago (I found out 2 years ago.) Her family shrugged it off, and openly embraced her when she decided to make her whole life about preventing other peoples access to abortion afterwards. The family gave him and his husband so much grief that they moved to the other side of the country, and now my family speaks of him as if he’s already dead.

It’s strange how so many conservatives have these realizations that their ideology is fucking trash when they see how shitty they all are but it never happens the other way around. The world can’t wait for all these people to find themselves in this kind of situation before they stop screwing with peoples lives. You can tell that when he hears about the exact same thing happening to someone else, he won’t have an ounce of sympathy.
