My iPhone 11 pro max still has 94% battery maximum capacity after 3 years. Nothing else is wrong with it. Never had to replace anything on it. It reckon it will go 5-8 years no problems. It is androids shitshow of how OS security patches are handled that is the problem It is bullshit that I need to replace my wife’s Galaxy S9+ that still works perfect fine just because Samsung will no longer provide security updates for it. It makes no sense that Windows can provide security patches to run on a variety of hardware yet Android can’t figure this out. Just months away from 5 now, and if my Sony tv after 12 years is going strong, why don’t laptops and cell phones. My 1.5 yo z fold 2 has Tltiny cracks along the fold of the screen. Upon contacting support they told me to pound sand unless I wanted to pay for the screen to be replaced… Keep in mind I paid $2000 for this phone … People just don’t 2ant to use them thst long because no matter how good a comluter6 is, after about 2 or 3 years they will slow down. I don’t really feel any pressing need to upgrade, and my phone looks brand new. Battery life is 82% though, so we’ll see. The only reason to update your phone every few years is for camera improvements. And if this isn’t a priority then you’re perfectly fine with a 5 years flagship and you’ll encounter zero issues whatsoever. Phones are peaking in what they do and they have been doing so for a long time. The amount of power and functionalities they have can hardly improve due to the size of their screens.
