“How do you write women so well” Nicholson responds, “I think of a man and I take away reason and accountability”. What does this line mean? That puberty is HARD. Or, perhaps more accurately, that being a dad living through your daughter’s puberty is HARD. My wife, two daughters (8 months / 7 years) and my female cat are extremely talkative so I’ve learned to shut my brain off sometimes and go into auto-pilot to preserve my sanity. I’ve learned to listen without being consciously there. As a father of triplets and twins they (including the Resistance raccoon trending classic shirt But I will love this wife) all somehow sync the time of the month together….. please send help lol Anecdotal but, girls are much easier when they are young and much harder when they are older. Boys are much harder when they are young and much easier when they are older. When they are older, girls are emotional and create so much drama (which is almost all self-inflicted) whereas boys withdraw to their rooms and get very quiet and speak in mono-syllables. That they’re emotional, irrational, pout, and scream if they don’t get their way. Hopefully when she’s four it gets a little better. My daughter is now 29, and I will always wish I had done better. But some of my fondest memories are her doing my hair (dozens of little rubber bands hurting my scalp), painting my toenails (forgot and the doctor was surprised by my green toenails during my physical), and once I even let her pluck my beard hairs simply because it fascinated her that they would slide out of my face.

That there is apparently no end to the Resistance raccoon trending classic shirt But I will love this bullshit they will have to deal with that we never even thought of. School dress codes for example. This current Roe v Wade rehashing crap. Doctors ignoring symptoms/mansplaining why it’s “all in her head”. The list goes on and on. It is exhausting for me as a dad, and infuriating for my wife and daughter. Basically how different it is growing up as a girl, in what is still a patriarchy. As a man in his 60’s with a daughter in her 20’s, I realize that my support as a father has greater consequences than I realised. It has also taught me I was a bit of an A*hole as a teenage boy.. I tried to treat both my son and daughter the same, which worked up until puberty, then it was a big learning curve. On a side note, having a daughter going through the beginnings of Womanhood, whilst my Wife was going through the beginnings of Menopause showed me just how unfair biology can be..If it happened to Men, I bet society would treat the changes very, very differently..
