I do appreciate his wanting to stay in Kyiv but I think the Relax We’re All Crazy It’s Not A Competition Funny Cow Farm T-Shirt besides I will buy this smarter decision would be to take Biden up on his evacuation plan so he can lead his country and be safe. It’s not so much about him wanting to brave it out but ensuring their powerful and well loved leader remains stable in a time of extreme need. I don’t think any citizen or soldier would fault him. No world power ever sends their leader to the front lines. He has become a symbol of Ukrainian defiance and he knows it, he doesn’t want to abandon his people and home because it would signal to Ukrainians that there is a chance they won’t win. Him leaving now would not only ruin that, but it’d probably convince Putin to do something even crazier knowing the leader was ‘retreating’. While what you’re saying is true, I think that he’s garnered a lot more love and respect because he’s standing by his country and fighting alongside them rather than leaving. It’s rather easy to tell people to fight for their country while you’re relatively safe from harm, holed up somewhere far from the conflict. If you’re willing to tell people to live and die for their country and freedom, I think that the leader giving that order should be expected to do the same.
