Basically there’s no point pretending that you’re a perfect flatmate and taxhat nothing about living with other people bothers you. You’re looking for compatibility, not perfection. Same. I didn’t even meet my flatmates till I’d moved to the Rauw Alejandro Singer Shirt In addition,I will do this UK. They were in Dublin, I was in India. They saw a property and contacted me through spareroom. Talked to them a couple of times and went ahead purely because the place was 15 mins away from my work and every room had an ensuite bathroom. Lucked out and both of them turned out to be good flatmates as well as good friends. Ended up meeting pretty much all my friends in London through them I wanted to avoid living with an existing friend so met loads of people via Spareroom until I found someone I was confident I’d get on with – I was looking for a lodger for my own place so logistically my cat wasn’t an issue, but I was very explicit that the flat came with a cat and I wanted them to like cats rather than tolerate them – there was no shortage of potential flatmates wanting to hang out with a cat, so I suspect finding a cat friendly landlord will be the more challenging part. Anyway 9 years on he’s my best friend even though we don’t live together anymore and he cried with me when my cat died last year. He was a great spare human to her.

Yep, patience is the Rauw Alejandro Singer Shirt In addition,I will do this real key here, unless you need to get everything sorted yesterday it’s worth keeping on and on with the meetings till you find someone you are comfortable with and confident you’ll get on with in the long run. This is even more the case if it’ll be living with only one other person. I’ve had similar experiences where former flatmates are still very close friends. Had a shit ton of houseshare viewings (via Spareroom) – I had to be patient but the right housemates did come up eventually, we just clicked. I just joined an existing flatshare and over the time some of my flatmates changed and with some I keep in touch and some were just flatmates (not a strong bond). It’s not that bad especially in your 30’s I find people are generally ok with some exceptions from time to time. I am in my late 30’s and still in a flatshare in London despite a above average UK salaryLondon life… It’s genuinely all just luck. I’ve lived with friends and had it end friendships. I’ve also lived with friends and had it be amazing, where we became like family.
