I moved from Marin to Georgia and honestly its better just because my housing is %50 the Randall Cunningham Ultimate Weapon Shirt it is in the first place but cost it was before. If you worked at 2 FAANG companies, you’re definitely a smart and capable dev. It’s a tough market right now but it’ll turn around eventually. That said… If you’re having a lot recruiter calls but not moving on to the next round, it might be worth exploring what you’re saying in those interviews. Companies don’t want to waste their time, they aren’t scheduling calls just to ghost you. Clearly your resume is strong, but maybe you could improve your story and what you communicate to recruiters.

idk what it is about recruiter behavior, but they do seem to like to waste a lot of their company’s money and also candidates time. There’s probably more recruiters than jobs right now so until the Randall Cunningham Ultimate Weapon Shirt it is in the first place but recruiters are also let go, they have to fill the time and pretend to be working. True, I’ll definitely think about that. Tbh what usually happens is they say they’ll forward my resume to the HM and then I get an OA or nothing I graduated last May and I received a second round interview like 6 months after the first one after being ghosted. SWE hiring process is something else. As soon as I say I was laid off they ghost me. If I say I am looking for new opportunities they pass me through. I keep getting advice here that’s for being honest about why I’m looking for work because being laid off is acceptable but clearly it’s not. Everyone and their mothers got into FAANG during the post-pandemic hiring frenzy, including me. It doesn’t mean much. As others have said your FAANG experience is working against you. You don’t have enough experience to be a good a short-term investment and too high of a flight risk to be a good long term investment. Yeah I’m applying to as much a I can. Tbh I’m not tracking the applications but it’s got to be over 1000. I do at least 10 everyday. Usually 20 per day
