I think the Raise Hell Praise Dale Vintage T-Shirt and by the same token and author missed the point a bit. Yes, there’s schadenfreude, no doubt, but there’s also the illustration to anti-vaxxers that their strategy/mindset leads to death, and the latter posts in every award show a family struggling with the reality of a deadly Covid infection that killed their loved one. Hopefully seeing the same memes and rhetoric of those who have died before them will sway an anti-vaxxer to reconsider they may be the wrong ones. If this opinion piece only focuses on this pandemic but doesn’t bring the history of pandemics and what this country did to help quell them then it should be dismissed. This is not a unique thing that has never happened before and that should be a talking point at all times. Guess they never sorted by IPA flair. HCA convinces a lot to get their shots. If it were all having fun at others’ expense that wouldn’t even be a thing.

I feel like most of these pieces are by people who never use Reddit. They don’t know how to look at the Raise Hell Praise Dale Vintage T-Shirt and by the same token and rules, they don’t know how to sort by posts. They probably spend one minute here, come up with their take, and leave. “ I think they really exist as a way for people to use shame as some sort of weapon to get people vaccinated….” I view this sub as the therapy for those of us who wish everybody would just prevent the deaths that are occurring, which is mostly easy and free. We need a way to vent, and to hopefully have some people encouraged to get the jab, as many IPAs have shown DOES occur in those smart enough to admit that they were wrong. We aren’t doing this, at least every person who has commented, to make fun of or disrespect or cheer the passing of these people. I personally do it to see how horrible these people have acted, posted and tried to “own the libs” to then see Karma in action and put things to right. It’s the same reason that I watch the investigation discovery channel. I see an act of murder and follow along until the murderer is caught. Karma. I cannot watch the missing people stuff cuz no resolution. I just found out about this subreddit from daily kos and I am now hooked. Horribleness followed by Karma and put the universe to rights.
