Perhaps some politics or backdealing did play into it by downplaying it’s advantages but if you don’t see the elite teams who do have a choice in their equipment wearing it, there’s probably a good reason. The great thing about military specifications is that they are open and free for anyone to test stuff against. The military does actually want industry to develop new things so I can’t see a widespread conspiracy against a single product making much sense.
