Of course, a child would definitely add something. It’s just not necessarily something they want or even something good. I don’t like children. Flat out. There are aspects about children I do like, their sense of wonder, their uplifting innocence and delight at the mundane, but the negatives far outweigh the positives. I am poor. I am so poor I cannot afford to live reasonably on my own with our scraping for every penny. I cannot afford a child. I am autistic, and struggle already with maintaining myself and my home. I have so much responsibility already I can barely handle it, but to add still more on top of it would be my undoing. As a parent of one, a lot of parents give having and raising a kid less consideration than what they’re going to have for dinner that evening.

I relate to everything, except the Purple Up For Military Kids Military Child Month Rainbow Heart T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this last point since I’m not autistic, and I definitely agree with you. It’s apparently so wrong to say “I don’t like children”, well, I’m sorry but I don’t like them. I didn’t have kids for this reason. I’m also bipolar. I could not give kids the time and patience they require. My husband was always ok with that….long as he was with me. Bar university and his career (in mid 40s) we do whatever we want. Our lives look like everyone else’s we just don’t have kids and have a lot more money to spend. So we treat ourselves well. I never wanted kids. I knew I’d be a shitty parent. I don’t miss them because I don’t think about them because they were never a thought in my world. I can remember panicking around 20 thinking I had to have them….it was horrible. Took a lot to push against societal pressure to have them.
