While some fans wholeheartedly embrace the Yeagerists’ ideology, others vehemently oppose it. Detractors argue that the Rumbling represents an act of genocide, a horrific and unjustifiable destruction of countless innocent lives. They condemn Eren’s actions as selfish and short-sighted, believing that he has abandoned his humanity in pursuit of a twisted and fanatical goal.

They argue that the world outside Paradis has relentlessly persecuted the Eldians, the people of Paradis Island, and that the Rumbling is the only way to protect their homeland and ensure their survival.
