The Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance does restrict the Proud trumpie vintage usa flag antI Biden trumpie shirt moreover I will buy this installation of lawns in new developments, granted development companies have found some loopholes. Also California is following the path of Las Vegas and moving towards restricting the irrigation of non-functional turf (basically turf that isn’t used for play or sports). As far as existing HOAs go its now illegal for them to restrict the removal of lawns in favor of low water use landscapes, of course that won’t stop from telling the home owners that they can’t. They just don’t have any bite when push comes to shove. Californians use only 8% of CA’s water supply and we already impose faucets with stricter than nation wide average flow rates (1.8 GPM vs 2)

The government should have put laws in place so the Earth wasn’t raped and pillaged. Please don’t blame anything residential it pales in comparison to agriculture and manufacturing which are 80-90% of this problem.
