We haven’t had mould since. The other option, depending on your budget, would be dehumidifiers. I got one as our flat was struggling really badly with condensation and mould in the master bedroom – we haven’t had a spot of it since, and we hang clothes to dry in there now too to take advantage of the dehumidifier running. Haven’t noticed a particular rise in energy costs since running it although TBH I haven’t paid that much attention.

Average dehumidifier should cost about £1.20 a day but, they pump out heat aswell whilst running which should offset any running costs through winter.
