Meanwhile, she is very frustrated with her job, and saying multiple times a week how it would be nice to SAH and go back to just one income, mine. I wouldn’t mind supporting us on my own, but it is incredibly unrealistic to be shopping for a house upgrade, with all of the Premium you’re Never Too Old For Chicken Nuggets Vintage Sunset T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this other things we want in life, on one income… My husband did this to me with our recent move! We had a limit and I told him exactly what I was looking for in a house (lot size, #sq feet, # of bedrooms, design aspects I didn’t like, etc.) and he would constantly send me houses that are above budget, way less property than I wanted, in locations I specifically said I didn’t want to live, etc. There were plenty of options to stay within the criteria yet every time I got a message of a Zillow posting I would open it, look at the lot size and close it without looking at the rest of the house. I would get so mad at him because he pretty much wouldn’t listen to me or just blatantly disregard everything I said and he would just be like “well it’s not a bad house if we don’t have any other options.” True, but I’m not picky I just wanted 0.5 acres, 3 bedrooms, and no millennial gray floors and there was like 40 decent options in the city we moved to! Stop sending me a house with a 0.1 acre lot size or a house with 40 acres that was twice our budget!!

My budget is less than yours and thankfully my wife is on the Premium you’re Never Too Old For Chicken Nuggets Vintage Sunset T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this same page as me but my parents send me wildly unrealistic homes and I just don’t get it. Like, are y’all giving me 100k or what?? Don’t have babies with this person until they have worked out how to be realistic. Fiscal literacy and competence can be a big deal in a marriage. Sounds like you need to have a realistic chat with the wife, maybe she’s thinking you can negotiate a bunch, who knows lol My fiancee and I did this too, but we were partially daydreaming and a using them as idea boards rather than actually considering it. “Why are you sending me posts that our outside of our budget?” “When you send me posts at that value, I start to feel like I’m not earning enough and I feel like I’m letting you down.” Sounds like she’s not thinking very practically and you are. Perhaps she’s just dreaming and doesn’t have expectations, but doesn’t realise how it comes across? This has gotta suck but it would be such a shame if you made this about not feeling “good enough” when this is so clearly about your wife and mom being morons. Seriously please do not internalize their behavior. Sir I cannot afford a 5k house right now let alone 575k, you are doing SO OKAY. You are not inadequate. Literally just ignore any suggestion that’s out of budget. Inb4 braindead morons taling about wElL ThE uS hAs mOrE pEoPle ThaN EvERy OTheR coUnTRy you need to do things to yourselfs fr
