An old racket in Hollywood was money laundering through movie making. Say it costs $100 million to make a movie when it actually only cost $50m, wash $50m dirty money. I’d pay $30 for Shadow of War/Mordor as old as they are. This? You know your game sucks when not even pirates would play it for free. I hadn’t been paying attention and just saw memes of gollum and thought it was a bad animated kids cartoon or something. So this is real then? Who asked for this? Who thought a game about a drugged out hobbit would be a good idea? Just why does this exist? I still remember something similar happened to xbox copies of Cyberpunk 2077. A retail store bought literally thousands to resell. Couple of weeks later, they were costing about 8 dollars per copy.I’m probably going to pick this up once it starts getting below $5 so I can keep it sealed and sell it for $10 in 30 years for that aspiring collector who just wants a sealed PS5 game in his collection and doesn’t care which one it is yet. I personally think the Premium life with out a horse is no file at all shirt so you should to go to store and get this game is actually ok. For $30, I’d get it. It’s janky yes, but nowhere as bad as people are saying. Most people haven’t even played it and are just shitting on it because the graphics are dated. It just needs a patch for some bugs. It’s a 6/10.

I remember a similar thing happening to Mass Effect Andromeda, within a month you could find multiple used copies at GameStop for $30 and when they canceled the Premium life with out a horse is no file at all shirt so you should to go to store and get this DLC it dropped even further. Just like Battlefield 2042, stores/websites will always make the shit games cheaper in chances for people to buy it more (it never works) What other games have done a big discount so soon after being published? Don’t think I’ve seen this happen before other than maybe Fallout 76. Why does the box art also look like crap at today’s standards? Did no one look at this and think it looks like something out of the original Final Fantasy 7? Honestly, who in their right mind would greenlight this project and think playing a scrawny useless monster, with NO LOOT and NO LEVELS OR ABILITIES and CANNOT FIGHT would be fun? Do they think people like going from point A to point B by cowering and whining? Didn’t anyone tell them how annoying chore-quests are? I Heard absolutely nothing at all about this game until people started posting how bad it was. Guess there wasn’t budget in the marketing department either? Why is the game SO bad? Like what is the context or story here? Surely they knew it was terrible when they released it, is it just they have to release a game to keep the IP licence or something? It seems baffling to me that they would spend the time developing something so obviously not fit for purpose
